Crews battle home fireplace in West Penn Twp.

WEST PENN TWP., Pa. – A big fireplace in Schuylkill County sends one individual to the hospital.

The hearth broke out Friday afternoon in West Penn Township on Sky Excessive Lane. That is simply off of Route 443.

A home and a storage rapidly went up in flames.

Hearth crews from Schuylkill and Carbon counties responded.

Officers say one individual was taken to the hospital for second-degree burns.
