'Energy of the Purse' awards greater than $55K to eight Berks organizations

READING, Pa. – The “Energy of the Purse Berks County Fund” introduced a brand new slate of grants Thursday evening.

The group celebrated on the Nature Place in Studying.

It awarded over $55,000 in grants to eight organizations, together with Secure Berks, the Alternative Home, and the Literacy Council of Studying-Berks.

The fund swimming pools collectively donations to create a bigger one which works to donate to causes that assist finish the cycle of poverty for girls.

Based on its web site, this system is centered on “funding applications that assist break the cycle of poverty by eliminating or addressing limitations for Berks County women and/or ladies who wish to enter or re-enter the workforce or search the schooling they want to take action.”
