Explosion at Towanda chemical plant results in hospitalizations

Bradford County — A hydrogen explosion and a number of accidents are being reported on the World Tungsten & Powders facility in Towanda, Pa. following a dispatch for emergency responders within the morning on April 21.

In keeping with studies from WETM, 5 victims have been transported to surrounding hospitals, together with 4 to Towanda Memorial Hospital and one to Robert Packer Hospital. WETM studies no extreme accidents; the hospitalizations have been precautionary.
