Flag elevating ceremony in Allentown celebrates Syrian Independence

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Lehigh Valley’s massive Syrian-American inhabitants celebrated Syrian Independence on Saturday. 

A flag elevating ceremony held exterior Allentown Metropolis Corridor commemorated Syrian Independence Day.

Saturday’s ceremony remembers the evacuation of the final French soldier from Syria on April seventeenth, 1946, after Syria’s proclamation of full Independence in 1941.

A number of native dignitaries had been readily available for the ceremony.
