Former WNEP anchor operating for Pa. state consultant seat

A former TV information anchor is entering into Pennsylvania’s political area.

Tom Williams has introduced his candidacy for state consultant within the redrawn 119th legislative district. He is reportedly operating as a Republican.

WNEP stated Williams started his profession on the Scranton-based station as an intern again in 1987. He returned in 1992 as a reporter and have become a weekday morning anchor in 1996.

Williams’ final day with WNEP was March 18.
