Gusty storms knock out energy, down bushes and wires in Lehigh Valley, Poconos

S. WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – Gusty storms have knocked out energy to hundreds of individuals within the Lehigh Valley and the encircling areas Monday night time.

The climate took a flip after hitting record-high temperatures earlier Monday.

About 10,000 houses and companies have been with out energy in Lehigh and Northampton counties. Up within the Poconos, some 5,000 have been with out energy in Monroe County.

Add up the encircling counties, and there are a number of thousand extra with out energy Monday night time.

We have heard a number of stories of downed wires and bushes.

In South Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, a large tree was down throughout Parkway Highway. The street is blocked whereas crews with chainsaws work to get it out of there.
