Man useless after crash in Berks County

PERRY TWP., Pa — A person is useless after a crash in Berks County Monday morning.

Pennsylvania State Police in Hamburg stated 22-year-old Jordan Smith of Tamaqua died after a crash in Perry Township.

One other man, Randy Leh, 57, of Wyomissing was injured.

The crash occurred at 6:45 a.m. on Route 61 simply South of Hughes Hill Street, Police stated.

Smith was touring south when he crossed the middle strains and struck Leh head on, police stated.

Leh was taken to Studying Hospital for therapy. 

Smith was pronounced useless on the scene.

Officers stated earlier Monday morning Route 61 Northbound and Southbound lanes have been closed as a result of visitors accident.
