Stretch of Route 611 in Delaware Water Hole Nationwide Recreation Space reopens after injury from heavy rain brought on closure

DELAWARE WATER GAP BOROUGH, Pa. – A stretch of Route 611 in Monroe County has reopened, greater than a month after it was closed resulting from injury from heavy rain.

The part of Route 611 between Mountain Highway/Waring Drive and Slateford Highway is now open. The street is situated in Delaware Water Hole Borough and Delaware Water Hole Nationwide Recreation Space.

The street was closed on April 7 resulting from a slope and retaining wall washout attributable to heavy rain.
