Tractor-trailer rips car in half throughout crash that killed 2 juveniles

TOBYHANNA, Pa. – Pocono Mountain Regional Police are investigating a deadly crash that brought about the passenger to be ejected from the car.

Police say simply earlier than p.m. on Saturday they have been referred to as to a crash with entrapment on Route 611 close to Fundamental Avenue in Tobyhanna.

Upon arrival, Police discovered 1 passenger had been ejected and three others nonetheless entrapped.

An investigation revealed {that a} Hyundai sedan, being pushed by an 18-year-old man, was touring north on SR 611 and veered out of the NB lane for unknown causes. 

The 18-year-old crossed the middle line into the SB lane and was struck by a tractor-trailer, being pushed by a 56-year-old male from Collegeville.

There have been three juveniles passengers, all from Tobyhanna, within the car on the time of the crash. 

Police say the affect from the tractor-trailer tore the Hyundai in half, ejecting a rear seat passenger and entrapping the others.

Officers say each rear seat occupants have been pronounced lifeless on scene. The motive force and the entrance passenger of the Hyundai have been extricated from the car and brought to CMC Geisinger and Lehigh Valley Hospital Middle for remedy.

The situations of the 2 folks taken to the hospital is unknown presently.

The motive force of the tractor-trailer was unhurt.
